Assistance in Marketing   

 

The cottage and small scale industries have been given due importance in National economy. The marketing assistance to the registered small scale units through preferential purchase by the central and State Purchase Organisation has been emphasized. The assistance includes the following –

Around 350 items of stores are reserved for exclusive purchase from small scale sector units .List of Reserved  Items

Price preference up to 15% in case of selected items which are produced both in large and small scale units.

  
       
CENTRAL GOVT. STORES PURCHASE PROGRAMME (GSPP)  

 
Besides this, the single point registration scheme of NSIC is in operation, as a market support measure for the Micro & Small Enterprises  Sector. Under the scheme, following benefits are given to the
Micro & Small Enterprises units who get themselves registered with NSIC. SSI units desirous of getting registrations may contact Sr. Branch Manager, NSIC, Nehru Place, Tonk Road, Jaipur.

· Exemption from payment of security Deposit  
· Exemption from payment of Earnest Money Deposit  
·

Price preference up to 15% over the lowest quotation of the large scale unit (on merits)  

MSME-DI provides Inspection report giving qualitative and quantitative capacity and gives recommendations on competency of the unit for registration of the Micro & Small Enterprises under the scheme

ASSISTANCE BY GOVT. OF RAJASTHAN
 Govt. of Rajasthan has reserved 89 items for purchase upto 80% from the small scale sector.
 
TRAINING PROGRAMMES
 
Training programmes on  various aspects of marketing like Marketing Management, Export Marketing, Export Documentation & procedures are also conducted from time to time.
 
SCHEME FOR PARTICIPATION IN INTERNATIONAL TRADE FAIRS-MSME-MDA Scheme

With a view to increase participation of representatives of participating units, the provision of MSME-MDA Scheme has been modified recently. in the new scheme,  the Govt. of India will reimburse the 90% of air fare by economy class subject to upper limit of Rs.40,000/- (Rs.60,000/- for Latin American Countries) for small manufacturing enterprises and 90% (with corresponding absolute ceiling) for Micro manufacturing enterprises. (ii) 60% subsidy on space rent. (iii) Subsidy of Rs. 15,000/- per participating unit for the shipping cost of exhibits. (iv) The total subsidy on air fare, space rent & shipping cost of exhibits will be restricted to Rs.1.25 lakhs per unit for manufacturing enterprises and Rs.1.50 lakhs for Micro manufacturing enterprises or actual, whichever is less. (v) Any unit can avail of this facility only once a year and (vi) Only one person of the participating unit would be eligible for subsidy on air fare.

(A) INDIVIDUAL ASSISTANCE.
 
for participation in overseas fare/exhibitions, individual overseas study tours and as a member of a trade delegation going abroad.
25% of the cost of production of publicity material limited to Rs. 15,000/- in a financial year.
 
EXPORTERS ELIGIBLE FOR ASSISTANCE
 
Exporting unit must be registered as SSI/SSSBE
Exporting unit must be member of FIEO/EPC
SSI unit whose export is less then Rs. 2 Crore per annum over the last three financial years (Rs. 1 Crore in case of ISO 9000 units). SSI units which have not yet commenced exports are not eligible for assistance.
An exporting unit would be eligible for assistance only once in a financial year.
 
(B) SECTOR SPECIFIC MARKET STUDIES.
 

Financial assistance limiting to an overall ceiling of Rs. Two lakhs per study for the conduct of Market Studies is available for industry associations/EPCs/FIEO, for sector specific market studies including Studies commissioned by Industry associations to assess impact of WTO agreements on a specific sectors.

 
(C) ANTI-DUMPING CASES
 

Assistance for initiating/contesting anti-dumping cases are made available to SSI associations limited to 50% of total cost involved or Rs. 1 Lakh whichever is lower.
